frequently asked questions

Answers about us and our software.

The essentials about our company, software, privacy, releases, and support.

What is 41BIT LLC?

We are a Wyoming software company. We develop native software and act as the Authorized Distributor for the software we distribute. That means we handle downloads, updates, support, refunds, warranties, and the consumer-facing legal responsibilities and risks.

What products does 41BIT have?

Battery Sensei is available now. We are also developing security software for developer Macs and will share more when it is ready.

Where can I find Battery Sensei pricing and downloads?

Battery Sensei’s website always has the latest version, system requirements, pricing, and download link. Check battery-sensei.app for the most current information before installing.

Does 41BIT own the software it distributes?

No. Product IP stays with the developer. As Authorized Distributor, 41BIT LLC handles downloads, updates, support, refunds, warranties, and the consumer-facing legal responsibilities and risks.

Does 41BIT build custom software for clients?

Yes. We develop custom software for clients, although our own products remain our main focus. If you have a project in mind, contact us to see whether we can help.

What does release-vetted mean?

Every release goes through product review, regression testing, and release readiness before it ships. We then sign each Mac release and submit it to Apple for notarization.

Does this website use cookies or analytics?

We believe minimal data collection should be the default. That is why this website uses no cookies, analytics, advertising trackers, or session replay. Information entered into a form is sent only when you submit it. Our hosting provider, Vercel, still generates standard access logs such as IP addresses and request details for security and operations. Our Privacy Notice explains what is processed and how long we keep it.

What does local-first mean here?

Core decisions happen on your device and do not need an internet connection. Plus, the less data leaves, the less can become exposed. When an online service is needed, the app explains what it receives and why.

How do I report a security problem?

Use the Security disclosure topic on our contact form or email info@41bit.io. Tell us what you found, where you found it, and how to reproduce it. We reply to good-faith reports and never pursue researchers for making them.

How do I contact 41BIT?

Write through our contact form or email info@41bit.io. No bot or scripted first response. A person reads your message and replies.
